Area families keeping up to date on local soldiers in Iraq

Thousands of families across Oklahoma are anxiously watching news coverage of the war in Iraq. The family of David Adams constantly watches news channels for updates.

David is in the Army's 3rd Infantry in Iraq. He’s only 18. His family prays for his safe return and a quick end to the war. David’s father, Chuck Adams, "David actually joined after 9-11.

So he knew what we were up against as far as terrorism, but he's a strong young man and this is what he wanted to do. I'm very proud of him."

David graduated from the Thunderbird Youth Academy in Pryor.
