(Tulsa-AP) -- New football coach Steve Kragthorpe's turnaround effort at Tulsa won't start with an easy schedule.

The Golden Hurricane's 2003 football schedule released by the university includes games against four teams that played in bowl games in 2002.

The season starts August 30th at Minnesota, which defeated Tulsa's next opponent, Southeastern Conference runner-up Arkansas, in the Music City bowl last year.

In the Western Athletic Conference, Tulsa plays bowl teams Hawaii and Boise State the first two Saturdays in October. But the Golden Hurricane won't play perennial WAC power Fresno State.

Kragthorpe, who was hired in December to replace the fired Keith Burns, has Southwest Texas State and Arkansas State at Skelly Stadium to complete the non-conference schedule.

Homecoming is Oct. 25 against Southern Methodist.

The Golden Hurricane finished last in the conference last season.
