(Oklahoma City-AP) -- A teenager was shot and killed by an Oklahoma City police officer following a car chase early Friday morning.

Captain Jeffrey Becker says 14-year-old Wesley Ohaneje was shot just before 1 am by Officer Christopher Graham.

Becker says Graham was investigating a report of two runaway boys when the two drove away from him and led him on a short chase through a neighborhood.

Becker says Ohaneje drove back to the original scene and onto the yard, then accelerated toward Graham when the officer got out of his patrol car.

Graham then fired at the car, killing the driver.

The second boy was not injured.

Graham is on administrative leave with pay pending an investigation.
