Actor Morgan Freeman says he used to walk up and down Hollywood Boulevard all the time but never dreamed he'd end up a permanent part of it.

And that's exactly what happened Tuesday.

The veteran actor has had an incredible career that has taken him from the stage to the big screen in such hits as "The Shawshank Redemption" and "Driving Miss Daisy".

Even with all his success, he still remains humble about his achievements.

Morgan Freeman, Actor: "Someone asked me if I had been waiting for this my whole life, and my answer is â€œNo.â€ This isn't something you wait for. This is a gift. Not something I expect, but something I accept with incredible gratitude."

Morgan's star is located just two blocks from the Kodak Theater, where the Oscars will be handed out. He's been nominated for an Oscar twice in his career but has yet to win.
