Union Public Schools is getting some financial support from the community. The school district received more than $20,000 Wednesday.

Burger King donated almost $5,000 to the school from its February campaign, which donated 50 cents from the sale of each Whopper at its stores within the district.

Tulsa Teacher's Credit Union and Mazzio's also donated money along with several individual contributions from the public.

Meanwhile, Jenks Schools has raised more than $30,000 through their Project Trojan Pride campaign.

Phase 1 of the project was to send a letter home to parents asking for donations, phase 2 was to send a letter to businesses.

In seven days, the school district has raised $32,000.
