Many communities have banded together to support our soldiers overseas. Thursday, the city of Sand Springs did something special as well.

They're sending boxes of cookies to the First Battalion, 179th infantry of the Army National Guard, stationed in Kuwait. The boxes will also contain hand-written cards with words of encouragement.

Warehouse Market donated the cookies, the Sand Springs post office donated the boxes, and the Women's Christian Fellowship is volunteering their time to pack the boxes.

What a great way to thank our men and women overseas!
