No one was injured when a Spartan flight student made an emergency landing near Jenks Thursday morning.

Officials say the student and a pilot took off Thursday morning from Jones Riverside Airport headed to a training area. After a few moments in the air, the engine started to fail and they were forced to find a place to land. That location was near 121st Street South and 33rd West Avenue.

Executive Vice President Douglas Yost, "They descended, did what they were supposed to do. Looked for an emergency place to land picked a place. Big open field. Did exactly what they are trained to do."

The plane didn't sustain any damage. Officials say the biggest problem now is determining how to get it out of the field.
