(Canyon, Texas-AP) -- Kyle Caldwell scored 16 points to help lead West Texas A&M to an 88-to-84 victory over Central Oklahoma in the first round of the Lone Star Conference men's tournament.

Rod Prather and Reggie Harris each added 14 points for the Buffs in yesterday's game.

West Texas A&M is 19-and-9.

Kentrell Gaddis paced the Bronchos with 17 points and Jonathan Nubine added 16.

Central Oklahoma is 19-and-9.

West Texas A&M moves into Friday's semifinals against the winner of the Northeastern State-Midwestern State game.

Central Oklahoma will have to wait until Monday to see if it gets a wild card bid to the NCAA Division II national tournament.
