Layoffs Friday at Tulsa based Great Plains Airlines. The company laid off 25 workers Friday.

Great Plains also delayed new service to Austin and Washington, DC, because financing for four new planes has stalled.

Executives say that financing is key to allowing Great Plains to become a profitable company. They say right now, overhead costs are too high for the carrier to earn money with just the two planes being used now.
