WASHINGTON (AP) _ Michael Jordan, wearing a long black stocking to control the swelling in his right knee, scored 10 of his 35 points in overtime as the Washington Wizards recovered after blowing a 24-point second-half lead to beat the Houston Rockets 100-98 Thursday.
Jordan was 5-for-6 in the extra period, his only miss coming in the final 10 seconds. Chinese rookie Yao Ming got the rebound, giving the Rockets a chance to tie or win.
``I don't know how many guys would have played with what Michael had tonight,'' coach Doug Collins said. ``If you could have seen his leg yesterday and this morning. It was totally puffed up. (Trainer) Steve Stricker said he didn't think there was any way he could play, and he played 50 minutes.''
Jerry Stackhouse, who missed the morning shootaround with tendinitis in his knee, added 28 points for the Wizards, who have overcome a string of injuries to play their best basketball of the season.
Cuttino Mobley scored 24 points to lead the Rockets, who finished 1-2 on their East Coast road trip. Maurice Taylor scored 21 of his 23 points in the fourth quarter and overtime.
Yao, who was feted at the Chinese embassy the day before in Houston's only trip to Washington this season, had 16 points and 11 rebounds.
Kings 126, Mavericks 124
In Dallas, Keon Clark caught an airball from Mike Bibby and turned it into an 2.5-meter (8-foot) jump shot with 0.4 seconds remaining to give Sacramento an overtime victory over Dallas.
Three weeks before, Clark's dunk off a missed 3-pointer with 16.5 seconds remaining gave the Kings another win over Dallas. Sacramento has won the last six meetings between the teams.
Peja Stojakovic had 36 points to lead Sacramento, which won its fifth straight and seventh in eight games. Clark had 12 points and 11 rebounds.
Dirk Nowitzki led the Mavs with 36 points and 13 rebounds. Finley had 31 points, 21 in the first half.
Lakers 95, Pistons 85
In Los Angeles, Shaquille O'Neal had 35 points and 14 rebounds, and Kobe Bryant added 30 points as the red-hot Los Angeles Lakers gained their sixth straight victory with a win over Detroit.
The three-time defending champion Lakers (32-25) have won 13 of 15 games to move a season-high seven games over .500 and within one game of sixth-place Utah in the Western Conference.
The Pistons (37-21) have lost a season-high five straight and fell a half-game behind the Eastern Conference-leading New Jersey Nets.
Corliss Williamson led the Pistons with 19 points.
