McAlester's ambulance service is closing, leaving officials looking for an alternative.

Wadley's Ambulance Service is stopping service to all of Pittsburg County. McAlester's city manager says ambulance services that cover the Army Ammunition Plant and the towns of Hartshorne and Stigler will help cover parts of the county.

Wadley’s Ambulance Service has been losing at least $600,000 a year.
