(Oklahoma City-AP) -- Governor Brad Henry has asked legislative budget writers to find another $85-million to carve out of the state budget.
Henry's comments came Tuesday after the Equalization Board certified new revenue estimates that increased the state budget shortfall for next year by $84.8-million.
State Finance Director Scott Meacham says he'll work with legislative leaders to find ways to make up for bigger hole in the deficit.
Henry had previously proposed $231-million in budget cuts.
He also proposed to leverage more federal funding and raise a number of fees.
The governor says the latest revenue projections show the need for legislative approval of his lottery plan.
