(Norman-AP) -- Oklahoma assistant gymnastics coach Guard Young has been added to the US roster for the VISA American Cup in Fairfax, Virginia.

Young is one of four Americans competing in the field of eight gymnasts.

Young is a two-time World Championships team member. He finished third in the all-around at the 2002 US National Championships.

He's taking the place of Paul Hamm, who withdrew due to a minor shoulder injury.
