NEW YORK (AP) _ The Philadelphia Flyers have put it all together after being shut out in consecutive games against Minnesota.

Fourth-liner Eric Chouinard scored twice, and Roman Cechmanek made 28 saves as the Flyers stretched their unbeaten streak to four games with a 5-0 home victory over Los Angeles on Thursday night.

``Any time you get two goals from your fourth line, that is really good,'' Flyers coach Ken Hitchcock said.

Last week against the Wild, Hitchcock would've taken goals from anyone.

Philadelphia has struggled offensively without injured forwards John LeClair, Simon Gagne and Justin Williams, but the Flyers have 13 goals in four games after scoring eight in their previous nine.

The Kings, seven points behind Edmonton for the eighth playoff spot in the Western Conference, had won six of eight.

In other NHL games, it was Florida 4, Ottawa 3; Toronto 6, Washington 2; Detroit 6, Edmonton 2; Vancouver 4, St. Louis 2; Colorado 5, Pittsburgh 2; Nashville 4, Calgary 1; and Phoenix 2, Chicago 1.

Cechmanek has had a good week. On Tuesday night, he made 34 saves, four in a frantic overtime to preserve a key point in a 2-2 tie with division-leading New Jersey. Since being blown out by the Devils just before the All-Star break, Cechmanek has rebounded to give the Flyers a goalie to be confident in.

It's gotten to the point that the fans want him to try to score, too. Los Angeles was trailing 3-0 when the Kings pulled their goaltender with just under six minutes left.

``All we are trying to do is just tell our team that we aren't quitting,'' Kings coach Andy Murray said. ``Why wait until the end of the game and pull your goalie?''

With fans imploring Cechmanek to shoot at the empty net, he attempted a shot and stumbled to the ice.

``That's as hard as he can shoot it. I'm not kidding,'' Flyers captain Keith Primeau joked.

Panthers 4, Senators 3

At Ottawa, Marcus Nilson and Ivan Majesky scored late in the third period to help Florida end Ottawa's eight-game unbeaten streak at home.

Nilson tied it with 4:46 left, and Majesky scored with 24.5 seconds remaining. The Panthers overcame a 3-1 deficit after Ottawa's Shaun Van Allen scored two goals 39 seconds apart.

Matt Cullen and Jeff Toms also scored for the Panthers.

Maple Leafs 6, Capitals 2

At Washington, Gary Roberts had two goals and an assist as Toronto earned its sixth consecutive road victory.

Roberts was playing in his third game this season since returning from double shoulder surgery.

Mikael Renberg, Jonas Hoglund, Travis Green and Robert Reichel also scored for the Maple Leafs, who have won four straight and nine of 10. Toronto matched Philadelphia for the NHL's best road streak of the season.

Kip Miller and Jaromir Jagr scored for the Capitals.

Red Wings 6, Oilers 2

At Detroit, Brendan Shanahan had three goals for his 15th career hat trick, and Tomas Holmstrom scored twice for Detroit.

Five of Detroit's goals came on the power play, tying an NHL high this season. Igor Larionov scored the other Red Wings goal and Brett Hull had three assists. Jani Rita and Todd Marchant scored for the Oilers.

Predators 4, Flames 1

At Nashville, Tennessee, Denis Arkhipov scored consecutive goals in the second period to lead Nashville.

All four goals were scored in the second period, and Nashville took a 1-0 lead for the fourth straight game. Tomas Vokoun made 38 saves to win his fourth in a row.

Scott Hartnell and Rem Murray also scored for the Predators. Steve Begin had the only goal for Calgary.

Avalanche 5, Penguins 2

At Pittsburgh, Colorado scored the opening goal for the 14th straight game, then held off Pittsburgh as infrequent scorer Dean McAmmond got two goals.

Milan Hejduk scored his team-leading 33rd goal and eighth in seven games for Colorado, 11-0-2-1 in its last 14 games. Steven Reinprecht added a goal and assisted on both of McAmmond's goals, his first in 10 games.

The Avalanche held NHL scoring leader Mario Lemieux without a point.

Canucks 4, Blues 2-

At St. Louis, Nolan Baumgartner had a goal and an assist just hours after being recalled from the minors, and Vancouver extended its unbeaten streak to 11 games (7-0-4).

Vancouver took a 3-0 lead with two power-play goals and one short-handed to chase Blues goalie Fred Brathwaite, who allowed three goals on five shots.

Artem Chubarov, Matt Cooke, and Brendan Morrison also scored for the Canucks. Keith Tkachuk and Cory Stillman scored for St. Louis.

Coyotes 2, Blackhawks 1

At Chicago, Daniel Briere snapped a tie with a wraparound goal with 2:08 left to lift Phoenix over Chicago.

Paul Mara also scored for Phoenix, which got 25 saves from Brian Boucher and won for the fourth straight game. Eric Daze scored for the Blackhawks, 3-11-2 in their last 16 games.
