(Oklahoma City-AP) -- Governor Henry has named a Tulsa businesswoman as head of the state Commerce Department.
Henry is merging two cabinet positions that oversee economic development and tourism.
Kathryn Taylor will serve as cabinet secretary for the state's new consolidated economic development and tourism efforts.
Taylor served as vice president and general counsel for Tulsa-based Pentastar Transportation Group, Incorporated, which is now Dollar-Thrifty Automotive Group.
Jane Jayroe had been tourism cabinet secretary. She'll continue as executive director of the Tourism and Recreation Department.
On another matter, Henry says retired S-B-C Communications executive Dave Lopez will serve as an economic adviser to the governor.
Lopez will do so in a voluntary, unpaid capacity.
