(Dallas-AP) -- Discussions to keep the Oklahoma-Texas football game in the Cotton Bowl are continuing in Dallas.

The contract for the game runs for four more years. But the option for either school to get out of the deal expires today.

Texas state fair spokeswoman Nancy Wiley says the schools can exercise the option, amend the contract, continue the agreement or extend the deadline.

The option deadline initially was December 31st, but that was extended.
