The lingering threat of a possible attack means local businesses and critical industries are taking extra precautions.

News on Six anchor Scott Thompson has an update on what they're doing to ensure safety. The federal government issued another terrorism warning Thursday, saying industry and infrastructure could be targets.

The FBI and the National Infrastructure Protection Center are concerned critical businesses might be the new target for terrorists. They've alerted companies involved in industry like telecommunications, energy, banking and finance, as well as water and electric utilities to step up security.

This terror alert coincides with the end of the holy Muslim pilgrimage Hajj that ended Thursday. Many Tulsa companies are taking Thursday’s bulletin seriously, including the Bank of Oklahoma. There downtown Tulsa building is the backbone of BOK's operations.

Transactions from bank branches all across the state are processed there, and it’s exactly the kind of facility the government is concerned about. BOK Executive VP of Operations, Mike Everil, "Security is what we do anyway we're always very concerned about that. So when we received this warning what really did is pay more attention to the things we do every day."

Several terror warnings have focused on keeping potential threats out. But this one is asking businesses to look with-in their companies for possible terrorist infiltrators.
