(Oklahoma City-AP) -- A bioterrorism drill planned over the town of Goldsby might be altered because of concern about allergies.
The Environmental Protection Agency plans to drop powdered egg whites, clay and grain alcohol over Goldsby to see if weather radar can detect the materials in the air.
But a food allergy awareness group raised concerns about the eggs.
The Virginia-based Food Allergy and Anaphylaxis Network contacted the EPA Wednesday, saying egg whites could cause allergic reactions through inhalation or skin contact at ground level.
The mock terrorism drill is a $3.3-million joint project with the US Army.
The tests are scheduled for late February and early March.
