OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) -- Wednesday's schedule of events for the Oklahoma Education Coalition's teacher rally at the state Capitol:
9 a.m. -- Pre-rally activities kick off with the Round Up Boys from Tulsa. 9:30 a.m. -- Fourth-grade students from Muldrow sing and Claremore teacher Linda Pollock sings a song she has written. 10:30 a.m. -- Color Guard from Northeast Academy in Oklahoma City to post the colors and recite the Pledge of Allegiance. James Kerr, Oklahoma State Teacher of the Year, to sing The Star Spangled Banner. Rep. Opio Toure, D-Oklahoma City, to give a devotional. Gov. Brad Henry addresses teachers. State PTA President Cathy Post addresses teachers. Senate President Pro Tem Cal Hobson, D-Lexington, addresses teachers Senate Minority Leader James Williamson, R-Tulsa, addresses teachers. Oklahoma State School Board Association executive director Keith Ballard addresses teachers. House Minority Leader Todd Hiett, R-Kellyville, addresses teachers.
