Black history month celebrations are in full swing across Tulsa. And one Tulsa school is celebrating this week with music and a whole lot more.

Tuesday, the African Drummers and Dancers performed for the sixth grade class at Hamilton Middle School.

From trivia contests and art shows, to plays and field trips, teachers hope a week full of activities will give students a better understanding and appreciation of African American achievements throughout the countryâ€™s history.
