(Ames, Iowa-AP) -- The Oklahoma State women's basketball team lost its fifth straight game Wednesday night.

The Cowgirls were beaten 79-to-55 by Iowa State.

Oklahoma State cut a 24-point deficit to four midway through the second half before Iowa State pulled away again.

Trisha Skibbe scored 14 points and Shelby Hutchens had 13 for OSU.

The Cowgirls fall to 5-and-14 overall and 1-and-7 in the Big 12.
