(Oklahoma City-AP) -- Members of the Oklahoma Army National Guard are now in Palestine, Texas, to help secure and identify debris from the space shuttle Columbia.
Spokeswoman Michelann Ooten says the 20 members of the 63rd Civil Support team were deployed during the night. She says they arrived in Palestine Monday morning where they'll help with recovery of items from the doomed shuttle.
Ooten says the team has the protective gear and experience working with biochemical equipment needed to detect hazardous material that may be involved.
