(Pryor-AP) -- A class-action lawsuit alleging a Missouri Tyson chicken plant is polluting Grand Lake has been amended to include two other companies.
The lawsuit now accuses Simmons Foods of Missouri and Peterson Farms of Arkansas in addition to Tyson.
The lawsuit was filed by Mayes County residents who own property on the shores of Grand Lake in far eastern Oklahoma.
The lawsuit could eventually involve hundreds of landowners with property along Grand Lake's one-thousand-300-mile shoreline.
The plaintiffs are seeking damages for property they claim has been devalued by waste water discharged into tributaries of Grand Lake.
They sued Tyson's Noel, Missouri, poultry slaughter plant in October 2001.
