Better communication between fire and police departments could help Tulsa's homeland security.

Fifty representatives from Tulsa County's public safety agencies met Wednesday to work on ways to prevent - and better respond to acts of terrorism. Dennis Beyer with the Tulsa Fire Department, "We are ready, we're as ready as in fact the state people have told us we're on the leading edge in this state on homeland security."

Some of the agencies have worked together on disaster drills, but until now there has not been a coordinated approach between all county agencies.
