(Oklahoma City-AP) -- Governor Brad Henry nominated a commercial real estate investor from Shawnee for state Secretary of Transportation Tuesday.
Phil Tomlinson will oversee state transportation initiatives and the agencies charged with implementing them. Tomlinson will work closely with the Department of Transportation and the Oklahoma Transportation Authority.
Tomlinson's nomination must be approved by the state Senate.
Henry also says three officials from the administration of former Governor Frank Keating will keep their jobs.
Oscar Jackson, administrator of the Office of Personnel Management, Pam Warren, director of the Department of Central Services, and Norman Lamb, secretary for Veterans Affairs are to remain.
Jackson and Lamb require Senate approval.
