As tensions rise in the Persian Gulf, the president is calling on more Oklahomans to join Operation Enduring Freedom. 25 Broken Arrow Marine reservists said their good-byes to their families Thursday night.

It's a bittersweet time for these military families. While they’re proud of their loved ones, they hate to see them go. PFC Michael Shelburne, 1st Battalion 25th Marines "I'm a little apprehensive, but this is what I've always wanted to do, I'm gonna go serve my country."

Michael’s dad, Mike Shelburne, "I just miss him tremendously, it hasn't been that long since he was living in our house and just not having him around lately and not knowing not having him around for a while is gonna be the toughest, because he's a pretty good guy, we like him.”

The reservists don't know where they're going yet, but say they're ready to do whatever their country asks.
