Newport Beach, California -- Former N-B-A star Dennis Rodman was arrested after a woman accused him of assaulting her.

He posted 25 thousand dollars bail yesterday and was released from jail.

Rodman, who has a history of run-ins with the law, was accused of domestic violence and battery.

The 41-year-old Rodman was arrested at his Newport Beach home after the unidentified woman called police from a pay phone.

Police say the woman had a small swelling on her upper lip and claimed to have a bump on the head.

Since Rodman retired from the N-B-A, Newport Beach police have gone to his home more than 70 times because of loud parties. He also was convicted of drunken driving.

Rodman played his college ball at Southeastern Oklahoma State.
