They're used in police cars and department stores to fight crime.
Now there's a proposal to use video cameras to fight elderly abuse in Oklahoma nursing homes.
A discussion at the state capitol Friday revolved around rights.
Nursing homes are privately owned and sometimes ask new residents to sign contracts agreeing to no videotaping.
On the other side, families say, it's their right to know if a loved one is okay. The issue is set for debate in the legislative session, which begins February 3.
