The first of several pre-inauguration events is too place in Tulsa last night at the historic Mayo Hotel in downtown Tulsa.

Hundreds of people attended the event, which is the first inaugural celebration.

It's one of several events leading up to Henry's inauguration on Monday.

Governor-elect Brad Henry said it's a location full of symbolism.

The black tie, invitation only gala included hundreds of supporters and those who simply wanted to wish the future first family well.

The Governor-elect will take part in several fun events this weekend. He attended a pancake breakfast Saturday morning, also in Tulsa. He is scheduled to attend an event at the Seminole Children's Museum Sunday afternoon and another at Oklahoma Baptist University in Shawnee Sunday night.
