Still no arrests in an apparent robbery attempt that left a Baptist minister shot in the head on a north Tulsa street.
45-year-old George McCutcheon is an associate minister at Mt. Zion church. He was shot Tuesday night near Virgin and Hartford streets, when he stopped to change a flat tire. Tulsa Police say two teenage boys in dark hooded sweatshirts tried to rob McCutcheon, and then shot him after he began to fight back.
McCutcheon is recovering at a local hospital. His father is grateful his son survived. Pastor G Calvin McCutcheon, "I'm disturbed that a person could have a problem with an automobile then be fearful to get out of their automobile in a residential neighborhood to repair a tire or change a tire that disturbs me."
Police are interviewing witnesses. They say cooperating with a robber can reduce the chance of violence.
