Some local citizen-marines are preparing to answer the nation's call to duty on a mission that will take them away from their families and jobs for at least a year.

The News on Six followed Broken Arrow's anti-tank training unit to Camp Gruber in September for a live-fire exercise.

Several reserve marines from that unit will be in Camp Lejeune, North Carolina in a matter of days.

The Broken Arrow Reserve Marines are being activated as part of Operation Enduring Freedom.
