A search and chase early Friday morning that included shots fired at officers.

It happened near Tahlequah in Cherokee County. Oklahoma Highway Patrol troopers trying to stop a car got into a high-speed chase with three suspects. Stop sticks flattened the tires on the suspect’s car. They stopped about a half mile away and ran off.

Two were quickly recaptured. However a third continued to run, and fired 3 shots at a trooper who was running after him. The trooper returned fire. After several hours, officials called off the search.

The suspect still hasn't been found.
