(Tulsa-AP) -- Oklahoma Indian tribes say a ruling from the Tenth Circuit Court of Appeals won't immediately affect casinos and bingo parlors.

A three-judge panel in Denver ruled this week that the chairman of the National Indian Gaming Commission has the power to close gaming facilities when games are a matter of a legal dispute.

The court's finding overturned a ruling by a former federal judge in Muskogee.

Judge Michael Burrage had held that the gaming commission chairman exceeded his authority in 2000 in temporarily closing the Seminole Nation's four gaming centers.
