LOS ANGELES (AP) _ Reba McEntire will be the host of the Academy of Country Music Awards show this year and in 2003.
The Oklahoma native will preside over this year's awards show on May 22 at the Universal Amphitheatre. She also will be the host of next year's show, executive director Fran Boyd said Tuesday.
``Reba is an American original and a joy to work with,'' Boyd said of the 47-year-old singer-actress, star of The WB's ``Reba'' and Broadway's ``Annie Get Your Gun.''
Toby Keith and Brooks & Dunn have a leading six ACM nominations with both vying for album and entertainer of the year. Alan Jackson, Tim McGraw and Travis Tritt each have four nominations.
The three-hour show will air on CBS.
