(Fort Worth, Texas-AP) -- When the NCAA tournament ends, one of the University of Kansas assistant coaches will be leaving the school.
Texas Christian has hired Neil Dougherty as its new head coach.
Dougherty replaces Billy Tubbs, who resigned after eight seasons with TCU.
Dougherty will start the new job next week after Kansas completes its season in the Final Four this weekend. The Jayhawks play Maryland in a Saturday semifinal.
This will be the 40-year-old Dougherty's first head coaching job.
