Traffic was backed up for miles on Interstate 244 in both directions following a fatal accident Monday morning.

It happened near the I-244, I 44 split in east Tulsa. The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says a minivan driving eastbound crossed the center median and was broadsided by another car. A woman inside the minivan was killed. Her name has not been released.

Two people inside the other car were transported to the hospital. Their names have not been released either.
