Signs of new life are sprouting in North Tulsa.
Planners say it's a small step in comparison to what's happening in the south end of town, but it's progress.
A new Conoco station is set to open this summer, and Albertson's will soon break ground for a new grocery store slated to open next winter.
More than 200 new homes have been built with many more yet to come.
Tulsa's Urban Development Director says it's just one of the many steps the city is taking to rebuild the northside.
Brenda Miller, Tulsa's Urban Development: "People want to live in the inner city. North Tulsa's time is really here. There's lots of new housing and construction..the city needs north Tulsa."
Residents say they'd also like a movie theatre and a bowling alley.
