(Dayton, Ohio-AP) -- Siena will be Maryland's first opponent in the NCAA tournament. The Saints won the tourney play-in game, getting a career-high 31 points from Prosper Karangwa in an 81-to-77 win over Alcorn State.
Siena's Dwayne Archbold was limited to 12 points on 3-for-12 shooting, but he hit a pair of late free throws to seal the victory. Archbold scored 111 points in four games to lead the Saints to the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference tournament title.
Siena is 17-and-18 after becoming the first team in 47 years to win an NCAA tournament game with a losing record.
