MUSKOGEE, Okla. (AP) _ The state's first indoor, supervised skate park opened Wednesday in a hangar at the city's airport.

``Everyone is just stoked we have it,'' said 16-year-old skateboarder Wesley Parish. ``We've been waiting for this park for so long.''

The skate park was a joint project of municipal leaders, private businesses and teen-age skateboarders.

The city was tired of skaters cruising down streets, rails and curbs.

The town secured $70,000 in private donations and a $25,000 grant for the park, which the city will run and supervise year-round.

The park includes 26 elements, including a 2 1/2-foot bank ramp and a 7-foot quarterpipe, in the hangar at Hatbox Field.

Annual memberships are $20.
