The winter weather has proved to be deadly over the weekend. Nine people were killed in traffic accidents across the state.

That includes this triple-fatality on the Muskogee Turnpike. A pick-up going North hit an icy patch, lost control and cross the median. It smashed head-on into another pickup going the opposite direction. Then a semi-hit both vehicles.

44-year-old Fred Hilbert Junior of Claremore and 43-year-old Loretta Hilbert of Tulsa were killed along with 57-year-old Lloyd Moore. The semi-truck driver wasn't hurt.
