After a weekend of winter weather, Oklahoma will warm up considerably next week.
A winter storm dumped up to 9 inches of snow on parts of the state later Friday and early Saturday. The storm was blamed for six traffic deaths and dozens of vehicle crashes.
By Saturday afternoon, the storm had subsided and the state enjoyed sunny skies, but chilly temperatures.
Mostly sunny skies and highs ranging from the upper 30s in the east to mid-50s in the west are expected Monday, the National Weather Service said.
Clear conditions and lows in the 20s to near 30 are forecast Monday night.
Expect even warmer conditions Tuesday, with sunny skies and highs in the mid-50s and 60s statewide. Lows will creep into the 30s and 40s.
For Wednesday and Thursday, expect partly cloudy skies, lows in the 30s and 40s and highs ranging from the upper 50s to the lower 70s.
Breezy conditions and highs in the mid-60s and lower 70s are expected statewide on Friday.
