OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) _ The city manager wants to begin negotiations to bring a Bass Pro Shops store to the Bricktown canal.
Oklahoma City Manager Jim Couch plans to ask city council members Tuesday for permission to negotiate lease and construction terms with the company. He also wants permission to contract with architects and engineers to begin a design project.
Officials are proposing a 110,000-square-foot store at Reno and Byers avenues, southeast of the ballpark.
The cost of the project is estimated at $17.1 million.
