There's a new weapon for smokers who want to give up the habit.

Nicotine-laced lollipops are becoming a sweet alternative to the nicotine patch or nicotine gum.

Each pop contains from two to eight milligrams of nicotine, and unlike the patch, the lollipop users control the amount of nicotine they get.

They come in 27 flavors and some are sugar free. So far they're getting pretty good reviews.

Joanne Payne - Pharmacy Tech: "On a scale of one to ten, I would say about an eight. You do get a little bit of an aftertaste, but it's not bad.

You still need a prescription from a doctor to "get your licks in".
