Tulsa’s FBI office wants to know whether the John Pickle Company violated any federal civil rights laws by how it treated dozens of employees from India.
53 men sued the company earlier this month, then walked off the job. They say the company forced them to stay cooped up in a makeshift dormitory and paid them less than minimum wage. The company says it treated and paid the men fairly.
The agents will turn their findings over to the Justice Department for a final determination about whether criminal charges should be filed.
