WACO, Texas (AP) _ Steven White (2-0) struck out seven and pitched around four walks and five hits as Baylor overcame a sluggish start to beat Oral Roberts 7-3 Friday night.

Eric Errante gave the Bears (5-4) the lead for good in the fourth inning with a 2-run single following a single, hit batsman and sacrifice bunt that put Baylor on top 4-2. It was Errante's 2-run bloop single that gave Baylor a 2-0 lead in the first.

Dallas Martin (0-1) was the loser for Oral Roberts (7-4).

Oral Roberts threatened in the ninth, putting two men on with two outs and putting the tying run on deck. Kyle Edens came in to relieve Paul Thorp and got the final out for his second save of the season.
