An early morning auto-pedestrian accident sends one man to the hospital. It happened around 6 AM Thursday on I-44 near 49th West Avenue.

Tulsa Police say the victim was retrieving a wheel and tire which came off his vehicle when he was struck by another driver in the east bound lane.

The victim was transported to an area hospital, no name or word on his condition. A firefighter responding the scene also was transported to the hospital after having seizure while working the accident, no word on his condition.
