The homeless are often a population that goes unnoticed. But, Tulsa's homeless are being counted.
A survey regarding the homeless is underway at 18 locations around Tulsa. It’s being conducted to help area shelters develop new services and improve existing services for the homeless.
It also holds the key in $2-million in funding. Tracey Redmon, Salvation Army Social Services Director: "It certainly allows us to compare from year to year, what's different as far the number of people who are homeless, if it's rising or decreasing."
Redmon says the biggest increase in the homeless population is among Hispanics and Native Americans.
