Law enforcement may have a slight edge in the war on methamphetamines. But meth makers are taking their craft on the road, and that could mean more risk for you.
Oklahoma Highway Patrol troopers pulled the driver of this car over for speeding. A bogus driver's license led him to search the car. Inside, he found a portable meth lab.
Meth is mixed with highly toxic and flammable materials. Officials wear full protective gear when processing a lab, but they don't always know what they're approaching with a mobile lab. Tulsa County Sheriff's Office deputy, Bob Darby: "Nine times out of ten, you're not wearing your protective equipment, you're just wearing your uniform, possibly a pair of rubber gloves or something like that."
Darby says the Sheriff's department is making more mobile meth arrests, and the traveling labs are a danger to everyone
