TORONTO (AP) _ Celine Dion left her career at its peak two years ago to have a child and live as normal a life as possible. Now, she says, she's ready to come back.
In her first television interview in two years, the singer from Charlemagne, Quebec, who has sold 130 million albums, spoke Friday night with Barbara Walters on ABC's ``20/20.''
``I wanted a normal life at one point, I wanted to be home. I've never had a normal life,'' Dion told Walters of her decision to leave the international stage.
Dion, 34, said she has accomplished that goal. She and husband and manager Rene Angelil, 60, had son Rene Charles 18 months ago after resorting to in vitro fertilization. She also said Angelil has made a full recovery from throat cancer.
Starting next year, Dion will appear five nights a week for three years at Caesar's Palace hotel in Las Vegas for a reported $100 million.
When it's over, she and Angelil will likely try again to conceive a child by in vitro fertilization.
``We will definitely give it a try,'' Dion said. ``Doesn't mean it will work, but we'll see.''
