Several Oklahomans who’ve been put in the unemployment line lately took to the picket line Monday.
Blaming President Bush for their plight, they formed up in front of Tulsa’s old Zebco plant at 6120 East Apache. A public relations man, who’s still got a job, was out front to call for more government money for the unemployed. Gary Percefull, "Times are tough all over and there's no indication that it will get any better and I think these people here today want to express their concern that we do have a domestic problem right now."
The workers represent layoffs at Zebco, Grady Pryor Foundry, American Airlines, and Williams Companies.
